Monday, August 3, 2015 at around 1:30am an obscene post from the Facebook fanpage of Uniqlo Philippines was published. The said post was a link directing to a website called News Area. It was then followed with more posts with scandalous preview images making the page likers shocked. One even commented “Seriously, Uniqlo ??? Are u sure?” The admin of the said page gave a statement.
To our dear fans and followers, Our Uniqlo Philippines Facebook Page has been compromised. We deeply apologise for these malicious content posted. These were not published by the administrators of the page and are not authorised by Uniqlo. Rest assured that we are working on resolving this matter ASAP. We apologise for this and we hope for your kind support and understanding on this matter.
Their page was confirmed hacked. Up until this time, the posts were not yet deleted.
Uniqlo is a popular casual clothes retailer company originally from Japan. It’s first store here in the Philippines was opened last January 2012.
